ABOUT

William (Bill) Haigh grew up in eastern Iowa in the Quad Cities. He graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Public Administration. Bill has taught high school social studies and coached high school sports at three small high schools in Iowa. While he was teaching, he was an active Iowa State Education Association member.

After teaching, Bill worked for the Iowa Senate for twelve years, and was intimately involved in education funding and education legislation in Iowa from 1986-1997. He started his own business before being asked to go back to state government as the legislative liaison and public information officer for the State information Technology Department under Governor Vilsack.

Since 2001, Bill has helped people prepare for retirement through proper planning and the use of some of the various financial vehicles available to middle income families. From West Des Moines, Bill and his wife Nancy assisted Iowa State Education Association members in over half of the school districts in Iowa. In July 2010, Bill and Nancy moved to Fairmont, MN where they will now assist Education Minnesota members and their families in southwest Minnesota and northern Iowa.

Bill is very excited to be able to continue working through EFS Advisors, the Education Minnesota ESI sponsored financial services program. He is happy to be part of the Education Minnesota ESI family.
