George Leistikow, CRES

George specializes in working with individuals who have a pension, helping them better understand how their pension fits into their overall retirement plan. He believes people need the education and tools necessary to make informed decisions about their financial future, particularly as traditional pensions become less common.

Before becoming a Financial Advisor, George spent 17 years as an EBD teacher and also coached Speech for five years, Adapted Softball for six years, and football for 20 years. His background in education has given him a strong understanding of the questions and considerations that can come with planning for retirement as an educator. George holds a BA in Elementary Education from Luther College and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Minnesota.

George grew up in Bloomington and spent his summers “Up North” in Park Rapids, where his family owned a small resort. He played football and baseball growing up, participated in speech competitions, and was fortunate to continue playing football in college. Today, George and his wife, Melissa, live in North Branch with their four daughters, along with horses, donkeys, dogs, and cats. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, and camping with his family.

George understands that choosing a financial advisor is a personal decision. Everyone has different interests, goals, and dreams, and he believes financial guidance should reflect those individual circumstances rather than follow a one-size-fits-all approach. As pensions become less common, having a knowledgeable advocate to help navigate retirement questions can be valuable. George is committed to listening to his clients, communicating clearly, being responsive to their needs, and providing honest and trustworthy guidance.
